Background Modelling of real property information and terrain objects stored at Lantmateriet, the National Land Survey (cadastre, land register, roads, buildings etc.) Need for uniform descriptions for information and system development Using UML Use of ISO standards

Today the NLS receives taxation- and valuation information from the National Tax Board. The technical exchange of data works with no problem.

Problems Different definitions within the NLS Different definitions within governmental organisations. Result A preliminary “as good as possible model” to begin with. The model must be more co- ordinated with the National Tax Board. Process modelling is very important
