Introduction: –Assumed that all major design concepts have been set –Final design will be tweaked based on testing –Focus of future effort will be spent on testing and fabrication –Team will adhere to following schedule to complete project on time –Team will follow a flight test plan to ensure results are accurate P0121: Introduction

Rule Change: –Fly 600m –Capture one (1) image Design Change: –7.4V, 480mAh battery –~10g lighter –Additional testing needed to determine if battery can support high propeller velocity –7.4V, 780mAh battery may still be used for endurance portion of competition P0121: Design Update

P0121: Schedule Week 2: –Successful implementation of new propulsion system –Build another pod with new propulsion system –1 st draft of g-pod –Complete lift device –Complete CAD design of wing (send to rapid prototyper) –Vacuum bag seminar –Confirm range of transmitter –Order motors SDII Starts Competition

P0121: Schedule Week 3: –Practice testing with trainer outside –Continue testing MAV with new propulsion system –Set location of g-pod –Set dimension of g-pod –Load components in g-pod –Develop removal method for g-pod –New Tail –New wing at prototyper –Set weight (battery) SDII Starts Competition Completed prototype of undercarriage

P0121: Schedule Week 4: –Test pod design –Confirm launch method –Continue testing trainer with camera –Refine budget/inventory SDII Starts Competition

P0121: Schedule Week 5: –Continue testing MAV with pod –Build MAV with new wing –Continue testing trainer with camera –Start technical paper SDII Starts Competition

P0121: Schedule Week 6: –Test MAV with new wing –Build MAV with new angle of attack –Begin testing MAV with camera –Complete website SDII Starts Competition

P0121: Schedule Week 7: –Test MAV with new angle of attack –Make final parts order SDII Starts Competition

P0121: Schedule Weeks 8-10: –Test and refine! Elevons Center of Gravity Counter-torque SDII Starts Competition

P0121: Test Plan Stage 1:

P0121: Test Plan Stage 2:

P0121: Successful Flight Definition: 1.Sustained flight for 1.5 minutes (18mph x 1.25min = 600m) 2.Complete 360 o turns in both CW and CCW directions 3. Controlled climb and dive with successful stabilization SDII Starts Competition
