GLE standards (Math & Science): Grade 6: Convert from one unit to another within a system of measurement (mass and weight) *Because we could not find a specific science GLE for the sixth grade, we would hope to teach our students about habitat

Phase of the Learning Cycle: Extend: Building off of the book we read, we will challenge students to think about the habitat of an animal that we have not discussed.

Overview of Mini-Lesson: -Have a class discussion about habitats. Then have them create their own survival Plan for their animal of choice. This would Include things like: food, temperature, etc.
