Statistics indicate that overall species abundance varies only as a function of method and that there is no difference between sites

These are the CV’s (coefficients of variation) averaged across all species. That is we calculated the CV for each species then averaged these values across levels of site and method. The higher the value the re variable the observations were – meaning the more different the replicates were. This is a way to look at relative precision of estimates.
