Following studies in 2001 and 2006, the 2009 health assessment included telephone interviews of 1,211 McLennan County residents providing information for: –General health status –Healthcare access (eg. health insurance) –Health awareness of several health conditions –Behaviors that affect health –Emergency preparedness Community Health Assessment

The assessment was contracted with the University of North Texas Survey Research Center and funded by the Public Health Preparedness grant, Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center and Providence Healthcare Network. Questions were modeled after the CDC Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System and other questionnaire sources with interviews conducted during August and September The report presents overall county findings with a 95% confidence rating.
