Motivation is Automation Extensive use of codes like ICD-9, STS, CPT Current data entry by manual form filling, this process is cumbersome, time-consuming and error-prone Manual editing of codes, Version updates also tedious and error-prone Automation of process would make data entry a breeze Capability to create new versions of codes and modify existing ones using a drag-n-drop interface Centralized Maintenance of codes
Objectives 1 To provide an easy to use menu driven system to enable doctors at CMH to enter patient treatments data To provide the ability to - Compare different versions of code Select changes Set associations between codes Edit associations Also to create new codes
Objectives 2 At every point the user interface is to be stressed on so that it increases productivity CodeMapper will be a Component - so it can be added to any existing medical software infrastructure (.NET based) This should be a generic component so it can be easily customized for different environments and not just for specific codes

Features Select treatment options (User) - Node search - Menu driven selections - Saving of data for future editing Build/Edit Associations (Admin) - Adding/deleting of associations - Ability to include any files currently in the system Build/Edit Codes (Admin) - Creation of new code files by user - Version control and comparision of existing files - Creation of structured files from raw text files
