Elementary Marking System 4= Your child consistently exceeds expected performance (accomplished). 3= Your child demonstrates successful performance (proficient). 2= Your child is progressing toward successful performance with difficulty. 1= Your child is not showing progress toward successful performance.

Grading How high can you go? 4-In the story, The Courage of Sarah Noble, Sarah’s father left her in the woods while he went back for the rest of the family. Sarah was worried and sad. She was afraid of the noises and the Indians. I would’ve been too. 3-Sarah was sad when her father left. She was afraid to be alone. 2-Sarah was sad. 1-she waz sad.

Band/Orchestra Lessons Most fourth graders take lessons at various times during the week. Lessons take place during class time. Students are required to get and complete any missed work due to lessons. Assignment may need to be completed in study hall at home.

Make-up Assignments Call office Sent home with schoolmate Picked up by parent ( after 3:20 )

100% Effort Guidelines 1. I am always prepared for all classes, including physical education, music, library, and all academic subjects. 2. I accept responsibility for participating in music lessons - remembering lesson times and making plans to catch-up on missed class work. 3. I complete homework and class work to the best of my ability. 4. I am respectful to all adults and students. 5. I show appropriate behavior on the bus and in the cafeteria.

100% Effort Guidelines 6. I work on extra projects without being reminded, such as our State reading requirement and extra-credit projects offered by the teachers. 7. I am a good role model for other students. 8. I demonstrate that “Academics Matter.” 9. I am able to work independently and with others. 10. I keep my belongings and my desk organized.
