Who Are We?  The Elliott School of Communication at Wichita State University is the only comprehensive, integrated school of communication in Kansas!  We combine the communication sub- fields of speech, journalism, and mediated communications in an integrated curriculum.  The Elliott School of Communication at Wichita State University is the only comprehensive, integrated school of communication in Kansas!  We combine the communication sub- fields of speech, journalism, and mediated communications in an integrated curriculum.

ESC History  In 1989, the school was established after a strategic plan and an endowed gift from Oliver and Betty Elliott.

ESC History  In 1995, the school secured private and public funds to build and equip a new building, Elliott Hall.

ESC History  In 2005, the school received from the Kansas Health Foundation the largest single gift to support faculty in the college.

ESC Mission  The Elliott School of Communication seeks to develop well-rounded communication professionals with essential skills-- including the ability to think critically, plan strategically, and communicate effectively in multiple communication contexts.
