Using PC SAS Help

You can get information about the Editor, Log, or Output windows by Selecting “Using this Window” under the Help Menu...

You can also access SAS help by choosing “SAS Help and Documentation” under the Help Menu...

The Contents Tab lets you browse through different Help topics.

There may be several subfolders. Select a topic to display its contents.

Useful Places to Look! SAS Products ~ Base SAS ~ SAS Language Dictionary ~ Dictionary of Language Elements ~ Statements –Information on many statements. SAS Products ~ Base SAS ~ SAS Procedures ~ Procedures –Information on many of the common procedures. SAS Products ~ SAS/STAT ~ SAS/STAT User Guide –Information on more advanced statistical procedures.

The Index tab has an alphabetical list of topics.

The Search tab lets you search for keywords in help topics.

The Favorites helps you keep track of the help topics that you use most frequently.

SAS also offers online help that is very similar to the built-in help.
