Upgrade Advantage vs. Software Assurance Upgrade Advantage Software Assurance Allowed to upgrade from Office 97 std to Office XP std. Assumes you are current in order to upgrade. Allows you to get current and stay current. Allows you to stay current.

Campus Agreement Microsoft licensing based on FTE count vs. machine count. Annually leasing fee vs. perpetual license. Agreement beneficial for departments that have computer labs or multiple machines per FTE. Agreement under UCOP negotiations.
