11 When the same author has published more than one cited document in the same year, these are distinguished by adding lower-case letters (a, b, c, etc.) after the year and within parentheses. 12 If there are two authors, the surname of both should be given before the date: eg "Menzel and D ’ Aluisio (1984) take a different view".
