Motivation/Rationale  Students will review blends that appeared in previous lessons.

Guided Group Practice  Students will participate in the lesson.  Defining the meaning.  Extending the sentence by asking questions.  Using When? Where? Why? Directed Lesson  Teacher will guide the students through a set of 20 words that will provide practice with consonant blends.  Teacher will introduce 10 words from the selection which 5 of them contain words with the -ow spelling of the long o sound.  Teacher will write 3 sentences using the spelling words and sight words.  Teacher will guide the students through a set of 20 words that will provide practice with consonant blends.  Teacher will introduce 10 words from the selection which 5 of them contain words with the -ow spelling of the long o sound.  Teacher will write 3 sentences using the spelling words and sight words.
