TREASURE - USING MONEY WISELY James 5: 1-6

1. THE WRONG USE OF MONEY a) ACCUMULATING MONEY DON’T HOARD IT “You have hoarded wealth in the last days …” (vs.3) Results: “Your wealth has rotted … moths have eaten your clothes, … your gold and silver are corroded … (vs. 2-3) Whatever I accumulate will DETERIORATE

b) APPROPRIATING MONEY DON’T STEAL IT “The wages you have failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you” (vs: 4) c) ALLOCATING MONEY DON’T WASTE IT “You have lived in earth in luxury and self indulgence” (vs.5)

d) APPLYING MONEY DON’T ABUSE IT “You have condemned and ruined innocent men, and they are powerless to stop you” (vs. 6 PH)

2. THE RIGHT USE OF MONEY a) RIGHT ACCUMULATION: SAVE AND INVEST IT “The wise man saves for the future, but the foolish man spends whatever he gets” Prov 21:20 (LB) Keys to saving 1 - Learn to live on a MARGIN 2 - Learn CONTENTMENT Valid reasons for saving:
