WtG: Launch Your Pre-Harvest Marketing Plan Pre-harvest marketing is a broad view of the market, trying to take advantage of early seasonal price tendencies. Crop insurance is a critical part of marketing.

Session 1 Learned that the different sites would go at significantly different rates Found that trust isn’t immediate Worked through trust barrier with the help of Annie’s Project participants

Session 2 Found out that there is a significant difference between a 10 minute break and a week Learned that a marketing year isn’t quick if we stop to answer questions Heard that participants could bingo their marketing plans

Session 3 Ran out of time Another session not an option Better offer Tools separately from pre or post harvest programs

Lessons Learned Twice as much time isn’t enough It’s more fun Impact is significant

Participant Statements My husband and I went to a crop insurance meeting the other night. I was the only one asking questions. I’m marketing the grain this year, and that’s why I’m here. No one has ever taken the time to explain crop insurance to me before. I think I get it now.
