What is the Moon? The moon is the Earth’s only Satellite. It takes the moon about a month (28 days) to revolve around the Earth. The moon has no atmosphere and is similar in size to the Earth.

What is a Lunar Eclipse? A total lunar eclipse happens when the moon falls into the darkest part of the Earth’s shadow called the umbra. A partial lunar eclipse happens when only part of the moon enters into the umbra.
