Effective Learning Strategies To be effective, you need to know what you need and what the volunteer brings to the role. – Build on their experience. – Make the learning experience interactive. – Encourage learning through a variety of scenarios – Create opportunities for practice and reflection of experiences with peers.

Plan for Learning Opportunities Identify learning needs. Design the learning opportunities. Implement the learning opportunities. Evaluate and refine for the future.

Volunteer Stages I am because someone had to do it. I enjoy watching my members compete. I want to expand the gardening project. I think others should see the value of life skills in the club. I like to get others to volunteer in 4-H. I believe 4-H truly has the potential to make a difference in youth.
