Initial Thought #1 GreenServer Keepalive messages? Useful application data? Periodic signals with predictable pattern? Determine if a machine is suitable to be forced to sleep by looking at its outgoing traffic. Who monitor it? The client or the GreenServer? It is up to you!

Initial Thought #2 Determine if a machine is suitable to wake up by looking at the incoming traffic. Who monitor it? Of course, the GreenServer! How? Using the WoL (Wake-on-LAN). WOL GreenServer
