Artist Statement Pregnant women challenge the object of desire and concept of women being a container; their bodies being used for their ‘sexual organ’ to contain the fetus (Teri Hylton, 2001) Visual Politics; Gender Issue Imagery: Cultural Sources Pregnant Women

‘Medical Medical’ Documentary Photographs of Herself Artist ’ s Statement The artworks question and give rise to complications of the legal and illegal drug for the bodily causes It focuses on the use of legally prescribed tablets for the Hyper Thyroxine condition to regulate hormone balance in my body and the requirement of the drug cannabis to assist the balance of the hormone balance and the hyper energy of the prescribed tablets. Findings These artists’ cultural values & beliefs were strongly influenced by their parents and childhood These artists have a more global perspectives of culture than their parents They were concerned about social & cultural issues and expressed them in their artwork.
