Making molds and casting replicas

Cover with several thins coats flexible latex or rubber Dry between coats

When latex mold is thick enough and thoroughly dry, add overcoat of Plaster of Paris strengthened with paper or cheesecloth to form solid Supporting “mother mold”

Remove specimen from dry molds Fill mold with casting resin Allow to set

Remove cast from mold Paint

More complex forms require more complex Molds, with “mother mold” Linked together in many parts
