Medical anthropologists are interested in studying patterns of human health sickness and death by considering both biological and cultural factors, i.e. what can be termed a “biocultural synthesis”. Of special interest to medical anthropologist is the study of enthomedicine, the investigation of health-related beliefs, knowledge, and practices of cultural groups.
