Day 7 Renting A Car Don’ts & Do‘s Don’ts 1.If we rent a car, please don’t forget to bring the id or the driving license. 2.We don’t need to pay the whole fee when we just ask to reserve the car. 3.When you rent a car to visit some places, don’t park your car in an unsafe place. 4.Don’t destroy the car on purpose, otherwise you have to compensate the rental company. 5.We don’t need to pay the damage in case of car accident. 6.The insurance company will be responsible for the whole damage.

Day 7 Renting A Car Do‘s & Don’ts Do’s 1.We do need to prepare the id or passport to renting a car. 2.Before renting a car, we have to check the car whether it has the scratch and the whole or not. 3.Try to find a good rental company, it will give us a good guarantee for our life. 4.You’d better try to find a friend who knows the place well to company with you to hire a car to prevent the cheat. 5.You should have to check the map before you go to the resort.

Day 7 Renting A Car CONVERSATION(GOOD DAY) (T = Tony, M = May, A = assistant) M: Good morning, we would like to rent a car please. A: Certainly, madam. And what kind of car were you wanting? T: A sports car please, something fast. M: Er, Tony, won't that be a bit expensive? A: Well, we have one for one one hundred pounds a day, a red Porsche... T: Only one hundred pounds, May? That's only fifty pounds each … M: Fifty pounds? Can't we get something cheaper? A: Well, we also have a red Mercedes coupe at eighty-five pounds a day. T: Well... … M: [interrupts him] Er, no thank you. Can't we have an ordinary car? We are only going out for the day A: Yes madam. T: Yes, thank you. Is it red? A: Em, yes, sir. T: Phew! I suppose it'll do then... M: Umm, we're hoping to go to the Lake District. Can you recommend some things to see there? A: Well, Lake Windermere is beautiful and you could stop in Grange and in Kendal on the way. It's a very beautiful area, lovely views and walks and all sorts of... M: And how long will it take to get there? A: Well, I suppose it'll take about two hours, depending on the traffic. T: If we had a faster car... M: No, Tony, we are not racing! We're just having a quiet day in the country!

T: Well, I saw a nice red sports car outside. Is that for hire? A: Em, well, it's … T: Great, we'll take that one, please! A: I'm sorry sir. It's already rented to that gentleman, over there. T: Oh. M: Er, Tony, won't that be rather expensive, anyway? T: Hmmm, what other cars do you have? Any other sports cars? A: I'm afraid the only car we have left is a small Fiat, nothing else. M: That sounds better. T: Don't you have anything a little faster? A: No, I'm afraid not, sir. A: So, can I see your driving licence please? T: Oh no! I didn't bring it with me. It's in the hotel. Will my passport do? A: I'm very sorry sir, but we must see your driving licence. T: I suppose I'll have to go and get it. Can you reserve the car for us? A: Yes, sir, if you pay a deposit and fill in these papers. M: Em, we wanted to go to the Lake District. Can you recommend anything to see there? A: Em, there are a lot of hills. And rivers... and sheep … M: Yeah, but anything special? Where should we go? A: Well, I don't know really. I'm from Manchester, luv. M: Oh, thank you so much. T: Oh, no. It's started to rain. I hate driving in the rain. Shall we stay in Manchester May?

It is sort of down payment. 3:contract--- you will need to sign a contract of renting a car. You got to watch out because you have to check the car is good or not.Otherwise, you might have to pay some exact fix fee. 4:insurance---In north America country, you have to buy the car insurance because of the law. Normally, you have to pay more insurance fee if you are a new driver, a young driver,or you drive a sport or expensive car. 5: International driving licence---If you are a visiter, don’t forget to get the international driving licence in English in your own country. At last, you better to check the map and traffic rules.Thus, you can have a nice day in other countries.
