Active Surveillance System: Post Tsunami in Thailand Group II: Implementation

Team Members and Responsibility: -MOH: Provide Medical Doctors/Nurse From local facilities or neighbor provinces or area for providing Treatment. -Police/Military: To ensure the security and order in the area -Authority/NGO/Volunteer/Donor/Red cross: Providing Temporary settlement place Camp, Food, Clean water, Medication, Ensure sanitation. Other service also required for social, psychological support and as well as economical support through the rehabilitation services for the affected population -Public Relation Person: Official Spokesman for provide the information to the media RAPID RESPOND TEAM Team member: OUTBREAK INVESTIGATION TEAM Team Members and Responsibility: - Medical Doctor: To provide the treatment and identified the symptom of the case and working with the team to identify case definition. - Epidemiologist: Identify the source and cause of the outbreak and provide timely feedback for action. -Lab Technician: To collect and manage the specimen and also provide the lab result to Epidemiologist. -Administrative staff: Doing the paper work for team, Logistic and Transportation of the specimen.Technology: Hardware: GPS for plotting each location case occur, Two way radio for communication, PDA ( for data collection), Laptop, Satellite Phone (for both communication and Internet access Experience from Indonesia) Software: Statistical package, GIS package ICT Support Teams: Help on Data management and provide technical support Team Members and Responsibilities Lab facility should be fully aware and ready in order to provide the timeliness lab result.
