Let’s take one of those projects and break into parts so you can see how the lesson might progress. Project: Presentation of the issues surrounding a current bill in the state legislature. Students would spend time researching current issues and bills being presented to the State Legislature. They would choose a specific bill, and thoroughly research its significance to the state, considering both pros and cons. Information would be compiled in a PowerPoint presentation, and presented to the group. Following the presentation, the student would facilitate a debate and discussion about the issues this legislation brings forth. CHANGE THIS

This authentic audience motivated students to produce a product of which they could be proud.
