Weekly Discussions SAB members have an opportunity to voice their concerns about current, relevant issues – such as the changing role of the media, difficulties in market integration, and human rights violations – in a safe, open space. Every week, students lead conversations on the topic of their choice, using printed and digital media sources t to fuel discussion. Discussion leaders also invite special guests, including nonprofit leaders and educators, to participate. … and on-line blogging! Schoolwide Initiatives SAB’s primary aim is to increase awareness among the Baruch community about tangible solutions for the challenges of the globalization age. Off-Site Opportunities Although we work hard to advocate and educate, we don’t just stop there. SAB’s mission is to offer students opportunities to proactively participate in developing solutions to cross-border challenges, through activism, volunteerism and awareness building. We also work hard to establish relationships between our members and organizations and individuals, working to benefit those who are left behind or hurt as a result of globalization phenomena.
