About Myself Name : Karma Galleg Country : Bhutan Organization : Department of Planning, Ministry of Finance Position: Planning Officer & Project Coordinator for M&E System Development Project

4 1.Associated with formulation of Bhutan’s Five Year Plans since Not much experience in the systematic undertaking of M&E 3.Coordinating the establishment of M&E system in Bhutan- recent responsibility 4.Attended workshops on Logframe and short M&E training ` My Experience with (P)PME

5 Core (P) PME Issues/Problems to be Addressed Objectives of National M&E System: Institute routine & periodic assessments of Five Year Plans Facilitate easy identification of implementation problems and provide corrective measures Ensure findings of M&E are transmitted to the policy makers as well as feedback/recommendations are conveyed to the relevant agencies Reduce the reporting tasks at the field level to enable the field staff to concentrate more on the actual implementation of programs/projects
