The terminal: The simplest is parking for private cars while the most complex is an airport 3. The carrying unit: - It is the actual media which facilitates the movement - Vehicles need to be altered easily and quickly to accommodate changing tourism demand 4. The motive power: It is closely related to the capacity, type of the carrying unit, demand, and the desired speed and range of the vehicles

(Power Point 20.3) Terminals, especially airports, have become not only design pieces in themselves, but also the center of hub and spoke traffic. In some cases they have grown to the size of a small town to deal with transit traffic (e.g.: Changi airport, Singapore)
