The CFP course (Alger 105) The CFP certification exam preparation class consists of 10 separate 4-hour classes over a twelve week period. The course aims to prepare students to sit for the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) Certification Exam. Test materials and practice questions will provide a focused review of commonly tested areas such as General Principles of Financial Planning, Insurance Planning and Risk Management, Employee Benefits Planning, Investment Planning, Income Tax Planning, Retirement Planning, and Estate Planning. About the Instructor Dr. Abbas Kazemi is an..Associate Professor of Finance at Rhode Island College. Dr. Kazemi is also a CFA Charterholder who has been helping his students succeed in passing various levels of the CFA Exams. About the Series 7 course (Alger 109) This course prepares you for the Series #7 General Securities Registered Representative Examination (the “Series 7 Exam”). Students typically take this exam shortly after the class is over. The goal of the course is to provide the students with necessary tools to succeed in the exam. To this end, we will thoroughly review the material that is tested, focusing more on the topics that carry more weight (options, municipal securities, and regulations). We will also continually have practice tests and quizzes to improve test taking skills and familiarize students with the material.
