Finding Articles In the Databases

The databases are where you go to search for either articles or for article citations. DATABASES

FULL TEXT ARTICLES Many of the databases contain ARTICLES IN FULL TEXT However, a FULL TEXT database does not mean that everything in the database is available in FULL TEXT

If an article is not FULL TEXT in a database you may be able to find it FULL TEXT in another database.

How do I do that?

I’m glad you asked!

You can ask our “Webridge” software to check our catalog and all of our other databases for you.

HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES…

EBSCO DATABASES Simply click on the “Check for Full Text” link and it will direct you to the article if it is available.

FIRSTSEARCH DATABASES 1. Click on the link “See more details for locating this item”, then… 2. Click on Find Full Text

COMPENDEX DATABASE 1.Click on the link for “Abstract”, then… 2.Click on “Innovative Interfaces Webridge”

For JSTOR 1.Click on “Link to Article”, then… 2.Click on the “Webridge” Icon

Article Not Available If the article is not available you will see a screen that gives you the option of ordering that article through Interlibrary Loan. Here is an example…

Article Available If the article is available you will see a screen showing you where it can be found, either in another database or in the library’s print holdings or both. Here is an example…
