What Evidence Is There for Water Surface on Mars? Amy Bratvold Red 3 April 1-5, 2002

Evidence Mars show signs of water coming to the surface. The image taken by Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft, has evidence that there are springs on the surface.

Evidence This picture taken also by the Mars Global Surveyor, shows examples of gullies formed by seepage and runoff of liquid water.

Evidence: Layering This picture shows a deep side canyon which is creating a large landslide because of the steep walls. The box at the upper left shows the landslide location. So Mars has layers.
