Mike Scharfenstein FAC Review - November 11, 2008 SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory 6 Lessons Learned Require: Go/No Go Joint Review of GC work packages by Owner and CM Owner and CM to actively participate in development and conduct of initial work until satisfied the GC understands/demonstrates requirements Flow-Down Go/No Go Review to sub-contractor work GC to actively participate in development and conduct of initial work until satisfied the S/C understands the requirements monitor S/C work assignment meeting, and participate in execution of the first few work activities Communicate to contractors: Safety regulations are monitored for compliance daily Procedures for permitted work must be followed in detail Accidents investigations will result in work stoppage, that may extend several days
