What is Matter?  Matter is everything around you. It is anything made of atoms and molecules. Matter is anything that has a mass.

What are the phases of Matter?  There are 3 phases of matter  SOLID ( rocks, wood, ice)  LIQUID (water, lava, things to drink)  GAS (air, steam)  There are 3 phases of matter  SOLID ( rocks, wood, ice)  LIQUID (water, lava, things to drink)  GAS (air, steam)

What are each made out of?  Gases, liquids and solids are all made up of atoms, molecules, and/or ions, but the behaviors of these particles differ in the three phases.
