Where is Vilafranca?
Vilafranca is the capital of the Alt Penedès region
One day in Vilafranca Vilafranca is in Catalonia (Spain). Vilafranca is a small town but there are a lot of things you and your friends can do and have a great day. You can go to the cinema for example. In Vilafranca there are two cinemas: Casal and Kubrik. If you don’t like to be quiet, there are other options: Why don’t we play in the bowling? It is very funny and after ten games, you get a free game. If you like eating, go to MacDonald’s there are delicious fried frenchs and hamburgers. In the meantime you do the digestion, you can go shopping in the town center. There are a lot of issues to buy: t-shirts, jeans, anoraks… Afterwards you can go at the sports center where you can play football or basketball… And finally you can go for a walk to la Rambla, in front of our school. Isn’t it great?
Just to visit Your visit starts in the centre of Vilafranca. First visit the main square called Plaça de la Vila”. You can visit the Town Hall, “Macià House” and church of “Sant Joan”, the three buildings there. Then you can go to “Jaume I square”, and “church of Santa Maria”, and the library “Torras i Bages”; but especially, visit the old “Royal Palace”, the “Museum of Vilafranca” and the “Museum of Vi”, especially if you are interested in the production of wine.
Our school Our school is very big, and there are a lot of places to see, for example, the canteen, a great place to go during our playground time. You can play football, basketball or have a relaxing time during the playground time. There is a romanic church and two computers’rooms -but the computers are old-. But the best are the teachers and friends, they are good people. The walls need some painting! In general our school is great. This is a photo of the school church:
