Consider the force that act on the shown plane surface Distribution of hydrostatic pressure on a plane surface

For the tank with width = 2m a) Determine HF on surface BC b) Determine HF on surface AB 3 m 4 m water

Location of center of pressure From moment equilibrium we will show that y cp = ŷ +Ī / (ŷ A) or y cp - ŷ = Ī / (ŷ A)
