Sustainability Planning Context Signed Presidents’ Climate Commitment in 2008 –Pledge to achieve climate neutral operations and submit a Climate Action Plan (CAP) for doing so President’s Council on Sustainability (PCS) –Charged to oversee the development of a plan to meet Climate Commitment and leverage sustainability opportunities Hired 2 consulting teams to help create a broad sustainability plan, complete an in depth review of energy options, and draft the CAP –PCS as executive sponsors Planning efforts began September 2009 –Slightly behind Framework/Sasaki Advisory Group to PCS to collaborated with consultants –Faculty, staff, and students across university units
