This presentation will cover Lesson 5 – Core Income This presentation will cover Lesson 5 – Core Income. It will be noted later that Lesson 9 covers Comprehensive Income. Day Two allows practice of lessons in day 1, review of day one lessons and an opportunity to prepare homework for day three.
Homework is key to flipped instruction and provides a better classroom learning environment

The instructor will discuss examples of income forms to be expected as Wingman projects the examples.
The instructor will discuss 1040 page 1 relevant income section and counselors can follow on there computer.
Basic Income Instructor will point out where income will appear on the final 1040.

NTTC Support of Initiative Provide a set of LESSON PLANS on OSHC Conduct Webinars Instructional tools such as: PowerPoint slides; Videos Mentorship assistance Two webinars were conducted for all TRSs in advance of training preparation for this coming year; Available in OSHC Others may be conducted based on need; e.g., a webinar for instructors whose district has elected to participate This webinar could target the use of templates for instruction. Mentorship support – this could be a listing of NTTC members willing to take questions and provide assistance over the phone
Summary: Not MANDATORY – however, strongly encouraged; NTTC views this initiative as long-term – FULL IMPLEMENTATION BY TY 2017; NTTC will refine and update implementation each year; TRSs need to support this initiative in their state; Participants will be asked to provide feedback to NTTC. Long-term meaning 2 to 3 years for 100% participation; Goal of TY2017 for full implementation #3 – based on feedback from those who participate, NTTC may identify areas of support needed OR what changes/improvements need to be made in the Lesson plans OR identify what additional support needs to be provided to TRSs The purpose of the FEEDBACK is to help the NTTC improve their support and to evaluate the implementation of the initiative.
