Introduction DO NOT NEED TO TELL ME YOU ARE GOING TO WRITE A LAB REPORT. Consists of 4 paragraphs (we will write these next) Use your class notes (circulatory notes) and lab handout (Heart Dissection LAB) to complete the paragraphs/sentence starters!

Paragraph #1 Tell me the parts that we can find in a human heart Ex 1st sentence: The human heart contains four chambers, four valves and five blood vessels. Then Write at least 3 detail sentences 2nd sentence starts like this: The four chambers are the….. MAKE SURE you have a CONCLUDING SENTENCE!

Paragraph #2 Tell me what each “category” of heart part does Ex: Each part of the human heart has its own function. Write at least 3 detail sentences 2nd sentence: The atria receive blood into the heart while the ventricles…… MAKE SURE you have a CONCLUDING SENTENCE!

Paragraph #4 Now you are going to link the human heart to the sheep heart and explain WHY we are dissecting a sheep heart. Ex: The sheep heart contains similar parts and works in a similar fashion to the human heart. Write 2 detail sentences and 1 commentary sentence 2nd sentence: For example, the sheep heart contains the same chambers, valves and….. BIG IDEA YOU CAN USE THIS SENTENCE: We are doing this lab to determine if a sheep heart is comparable to a human heart.

Hypothesis: YOU CAN USE THIS SENTENCE: If I dissect a sheep heart, then I will find out that it is comparable to the human heart.

Purpose: YOU CAN USE THIS SENTENCE: The purpose of this lab is to see and dissect a three dimensional sheep heart. Also, I will practice safe laboratory technique and writing a lab report.
