Welcome! Introductory Activity: You have 3 minutes to brainstorm with your table partners all the positive and negative characteristics of fires you can think of….. Share out a few of the characteristics…

Now discuss how these characteristics relate to you as a teacher… What things did you come up with that are good and what things did you discuss that you need to be aware of?

Learning Targets:  Resident Educators will become familiar with the Focus for Learning section of the OTES Rubric and compare it to the R.E. Learning Cycles.  Resident Educators will review important dates and information for the RESA and Year 4 Requirements  Resident Educators will reflect with Mentors/Facilitators on their progress.

Progress Check  Year 3 REs: Must complete Tripod Profile by December 15 th and before submitting Task 1. Complete Tripod Survey between February 2 nd and 23 rd or you get locked out of Task 5. You receive a report the first week of April to reflect on to complete the task. Special Circumstances? Fill out special form and send to ODE by November 15 th. First task due Dec. 15th Second task due Feb. 15th

Important Rubric Considerations

Looking Ahead  Task 1 and 3 are similar Instructional Cycle Tasks  Task 2 asks for Formative/Summative Assessment Evidence from a unit you have taught – be aware of good opportunities to use for this task  Task 4 (Communication and Professional Growth) – Page 66 – AVOID DISQUALIFICATION!  Task 5 (Reflection based on Student Feedback) – Watch deadlines…
