What do I do? I am an honours student at Witwatersrand University. I am a teacher by profession. I believe education is a key to success as a result that is why I chose teaching as my profession. I teach at Roseneath Primary School in Parktown in Johannesburg. I have taught grade all learning Areas except Afrikaans since I am currently teaching grade 4 and 7.

My Philosophy/ I believe that: ●The fear of the unknown hinders one's dream. ●Trying, then fail in your mission, makes you to think twice and be wiser. ●Giving up will never be an option for me.

Online teaching This has been an interesting and an eye opening course for me. I am glad I did not come out empty handed. In this course I have learned theory and practical work. I also managed to design an educational game, of which I saw it as an eye opener and an achievement, hence that is why I say “the fear of the unknown hinders one’s dream”, I am glad I did not allow my fears to disturb my mission.

Practical work continues…  Planning and organising ideas.  Researching the content you want to teach.  Analysing and deciding on the right soft ware to use.  Trying different software for different purposes.

Practical work continues… For an example:  using Microsoft Excel to create a game instead of teaching Accounting and Maths concepts.  Using PowerPoint not only for presentations but creating interactive games for learners.  Using Google to save documents in a “Drive”.  Using Google to save literature and other important documents in a “Drop box”.
