All data is centralized and secured into the automated database backup and can be easily restored. Users can connect software, i.e. payroll and time attendance software to Ingress MySQL database to collect data for further processing. 5. FIVE IMPORTANT CHECKLISTS FOR SUCCESSFUL INGRESS INSTALLATION 1. Get ready with the software installer - Software installer is available in the software CD packaged with the terminal or you can find it when you browse fingertec.com > Software > Ingress

2. 3. Check Your Date of Purchase – Starting 1st January 2013, customers can opt to use either Ingress or TCMS V2 for their FingerTec terminals. 4. 5. Must Install 4 Important Components - Once you start running the Ingress Installer Software, you will be prompted to install 4 of these items. All of these components MUST be installed for Ingress software to run smoothly. MySQL Server Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 Full FingerTec Ingress Software OFIS Scanner Driver If any of the items are readily available in your computer, the installer will skip the installation and move on to the next.

Insert the installer CD and it will prompt the installer. Click on Run Start.exe Click on Software Installation at Ingress section > Installation begins

Installer has to be run manually if users downloaded the software to the PC. Go to Ingress setup file and right click to run as administrator. Click Install to initiate the installation.

Install shield will next launch the MySQL installer. Click Next 9 times until security option window appears as shown below. Enter new Root Password and enter it once again for confirmation. Click Next > Execute to start the configuration. Once complete, click Finish. This step is extremely important as failure to do this will result in failure to connect to MySQL database. User can enter username and password to access MySQL database directly. Choose Complete and Finish to complete installation of all components.

Next, Microsoft.NET Framework 4.0 needs to be installed. Click Next > Accept the terms in license agreement > Next. Choose the installation path and click Next. Final component to be installed is OFIS Scanner Driver. Once done, it will prompt the computer to be restarted. Do not restart first and click Finish to proceed to the next step. Choose ‘Complete’ installation and click Next. Click Install for the installation to begin. Once complete, click on Finish.

Final step of installation is to test server and database connection. Ingress Installer will prompt the DBInstaller at the end of the installation. 1.MySQL and Ingress are two different platforms. By clicking Test Connection, we are actually linking these 2 components and getting them ready to communicate with one another. The connection is established when the Update Connection button is enabled. 2.User will be created and linked to MySQL once Update Connection is clicked. Once successful, installer will prompt back “database connection upgraded successfully”. 3.Click New Database to create a new database (if no databases are available) or Upgrade Database to update the available database. Insert password and click Test Connection. CRUCIAL: MUST Test Server and Database Connection before using Ingress How to conduct the test? Important: If this step is skipped, users will not be able to log into Ingress.

Right click on the icon at Desktop and select Run as Administrator. Insert the Server IP Address and Server Port > Click Test to test the Connection > click Save to save the Server IP address and Server Port into the computer for future logins. Now we are ready to perform the Ingress startup.

At Ingress Login Window, insert the User Name and Password to log into Ingress. Default log in details are as below. These details can be changed under Ingress User Accounts at System Settings Tab. Ingress can be logged in by using fingerprint instead of username login. However, for this function to work, user has to enroll fingerprint template(s) under User Account. After all these configurations are done, Ingress Software is ready to be used. User Name : admin Password : 123
