Setting Up Source Systems Source system details

Registering Target Applications Select the type of application and the application name. The application dimensions are displayed on the Dimension Details tab.

Setup Import Format in FDMEE Add an import format. Specify import format details.

Setup Period Mappings in FDMEE Global period mappings define member mappings for multiple target applications where the target period names are the same.

Importing and Loading Data

Workspace FDMEE Drill Back Planning form with data loaded from FDMEE Drill Through page in Workspace After exporting data to a target application, you can drill through from the target application back to the GL source system. Drill through is not supported for human resource data. Users can drill through to detail in the source system through FDMEE from Planning, Financial Management, Essbase, Smart View, and Financial Reporting. Note: In Smart View and Financial Reporting, users can drill through only if the data source is Financial Management, Planning, or Essbase. In Financial Management and Planning target applications, you create a data grid or form that includes data-input cells which were loaded by FDMEE. When you drill through from these cells, a landing page is displayed on a new EPM Workspace tab. The landing page is a gateway to the data in the GL source system. The Drill Through landing page displays GL accounts and the hyperlinked balances that were used to populate the cells in the EPM target application. When you click a hyperlinked data value, you can drill through to the source system and view the associated journal entries for the selected GL account. Account Balances page in EBS source system Oracle GL from FDMEE Drill Back Account Balances page in EBS source system After drilling through from the EPM target application to the Drill Through landing page, you can drill through to account balances to display data loaded from your source system. When you navigate to the Oracle General Ledger Balances page after logon validation, you can view a table listing all the GL accounts that contributed to the drilled value shown in the EPM target application for the specific period. This table includes a breakdown of all GL accounts values with hyperlinks, enabling users to further drill into the Journal Lines page in Oracle General Ledger. Users can then view the associated journal entries for the selected Oracle General Ledger account. When you navigate to PeopleSoft Enterprise Financial Management, the Ledger Inquiry page is displayed after logon validation. Users can then view information on the Journal Inquiry page. To drill through to source data: 1. From an EPM target application, drill through to the Drill Through landing page. 2. In the Drill Through Details grid, click a source amount and select Drill Through to Source. The logon page for the GL source system is displayed. 3. Log on to the source system.
