Getting Started Go to Select “Customer” and create an account Apply now and fill out questions Click Channel icon on right You are automatically given a channel that is private You want to “add” channel that is public You now have 2 Aurasma channels

Building an Aura 1.Select a trigger (any picture that shows good contrast and can be recognized by scan) 2.Select an overlay (a video, website, or 3-D image you want to see) 3.Create Aura : Name the aura then choose a “trigger” and an “overlay” 4.Save Aura to your channel, ensure it is public ( I did not do this for first 3 months of using Aurasma) 5.Share your Aurasma channel with your students!

Things I learned along the way Create a folder for your Auras on your computer –In this folder create 2 sub folders one for triggers and one for overlays Find a good youtube video downloader –I use Glossy pictures do not work well I try to use videos that are under 7 minutes I either glue Auras to purple construction paper or I put a butterfly sticker on it. –If the Aura has two overlays, I use 2 butterfly stickers

Questions from Conference How do you delete Auras? –On ipad…press + to create Aura (choose overlay) and delete the overlay that affects that Aura…you do this by pressing the “pencil at top right”. You will be asked “ are you sure you want to delete, as deleting the overlay will delete all Auras using this overlay. –On Aurasma Studio, select Aura you with to delete and then select delete from tool bar at the top.

Choose overlay: Device, Plus symbol, camera –Make a quick video, accept Capture trigger Name Aura, public, Add to Channel (Yes) Get the Aurasma App Auras are stored in Aurasma Central. Whenever Aurasma is running on a device it talks to Aurasma Central to download Auras which are of interest to that user. Any Auras you create on this site will be uploaded to Aurasma Central ready to be delivered to mobile devices.
