Program to convert HEC-RAS output into WinTR-20 Cross Section Program is incorporated into Windows interface; Reads HEC-RAS text file created by the user thru HEC-RAS program; After creating HEC-RAS output text file, open WinTR-20 Windows interface and click “File” then “Import HEC-RAS”; Rating table program comes as a part of the Window WinTR-20 system. Modify Profile Output Table Friction Slope and E.G. Slope (energy grade line slope) are available in the output available from HEC-RAS. The E.G. Slope is recommended because it includes all the energy losses at a cross section (friction loss and expansion and contraction losses). The Friction Slope only includes the friction loss from Manning’s equation. If there are no expansion or contraction losses (no change in cross section), then the friction slope and EG Slope should be close together. Create a Table Heading window will appear. Click on “Clear All Table Headings” Double click to select – Min. Ch El, LOB Elev, ROB Elev, W.S.Elev, Q Total, Flow Area, Top Width, and E.G. Slope. Import HEC-RAS into WinTR-20 Warning – do not import HEC-RAS data to an existing WinTR-20 file using the WinTR-20 Controller/Editor. The existing data will be erased and replaced by HEC-RAS tables. Instead, save the WinTR-20 input file containing HEC-RAS rating tables, close WinTR-20, and use Notepad to copy and paste the data into the existing WinTR-20 data file.
