Changes to the Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) Update Florida’s competencies and skills across Subject Area Examinations (SAEs), the Professional Education examination, and the General Knowledge Test to conform with updated standards. Set passing scores for all revised exams to align with adopted standards at the appropriate level needed by an Effective Teacher Education Applicant (ETEA) and by a Beginning Effective Teacher Candidate (BETC).

FCS Performance Funding (Recommendation) 2014 Legislature required the Commissioner to recommend a methodology for performance funding for the Florida College System by December 31, 2014 with up to ten (10) metrics, to include the following: 1) Percent of graduates employed (FETPIP) 2) Cost per graduate (tuition and fees) 3) Graduation rate (150% and 200%) 4) Retention rate (still enrolled, fall to fall) Additional recommended measures include: graduate wages, graduation rate for Pell recipients, time-to-degree, credit earned milestones (12, 24, 36), local measure Consideration for current performance effectiveness and rates of improvement
