LearnStorm A Bay Area pilot A 3-month learning challenge where students can earn recognition for themselves, their school, and even their city by mastering math skills on Khan Academy. By doing so, students can build a growth mindset that will help them learn anything. KHANACADEMY.ORG
Details on LearnStorm Points will be awarded for achievement and hustle, including all types of learners grades 3-12 Achievement points–earned for each skill practiced, and every level of mastery earned Hustle points –earned for working at your learning edge, putting in effort and growing Leaderboards will show points for individuals, schools and cities, encouraging a team-based spirit Leaderboards rank individuals, schools and cities on total points AND points per eligible student Schools can also earn recognition by signing up students and hitting pre-set points thresholds Fun weekly/monthly challenges will extend beyond traditional Khan Academy exercises and encourage students to test their grit and know-how An in-person Finals Event with fun prizes will celebrate all participating schools Free and easy to join from anywhere with an internet connection!
