Homeland Security Investigations  Second largest criminal investigative agency in the United States  6,700 Special Agents  2,700 Support Personnel  26 SAC offices & 182 other field offices throughout the nation  Annual budget of more than $1.6 billion

In an average year, HSI Special Agents:  Initiate over 60,000 new investigations  Make over 25,000 arrests  Seize over $100 million in currency and monetary instruments  Investigate currency seizures by CBP of approximately $130 million  Seize nearly 650,000 pounds of narcotics  Seize over $80 million worth of contraband and other illegal merchandise
