 side effect Any effect of a medicine other than the one intended A condition in which a person’s body becomes used to the effect of a medicine and needs greater and greater amounts of it for it to be effective  tolerance Intentionally using drugs in a way that is unhealthy or illegal  drug abuse

In this lesson, you will learn to  explain the difference between drug misuse and drug abuse.  identify the risks of drug abuse.  develop strategies for making healthful choices about taking medicines.
