 Shoe makers are the people who make your shoes. Traditionally these people were called cobblers. They usually just fixed broken shoes. Becoming a shoe maker is hard work and take lots of practice  There are a few different ways you can become a shoe cobbler, depending on factors such as your finances, and the availability of work in your area. Some colleges and vocational schools have shoe repair or design programs, while others offer that type of training through their fashion design departments  There is no one career path you must follow to become a shoe cobbler, though there are some options you may want to consider. If you have the financial means to attend a college or vocational school, and you can locate one with an appropriate program of study, then that is one way to get a job as a shoe cobbler  Colleges and vocational schools can provide you with valuable knowledge and experience, but obtaining that type of higher education is not strictly

 Employment of shoe and leather workers is projected to decline rapidly over the next decade. Even in a down economy, many people find it easier and cheaper to buy new shoes than to fix old ones. The growth outlook on this job is negative.

 Shoe and leather workers have a median yearly salary of $24,680 per year.  The top 10% of cobblers earn $37,630 or more, while the bottom 10% earn $17,030 or less.

 Leather crafter worker  Manufacturing jobs, involving shoes  Supervisor over shoe making  Production operator
