Historical Narratives Give accounts of real-life historical experiences given by someone who experienced the events or by someone who has studied or observed them. Are key historical documents which exist as our only record of events.

Primary Sources Present first hand knowledge (The author was there) Examples: letters diaries journals autobiographies

Secondary Sources Present indirect, second-hand knowledge (The author was not present) Examples: histories biographies
