Intel® Core™ processor family 4nd Gen Intel® Core™ i7 Extreme Edition 4 rd Gen Intel® Core™ i7 processor 4 rd Gen Intel® Core™ i5 processor 4 rd Gen Intel® Core™ i3 processor 4nd Gen Intel® Core™ vPro™

4nd Gen Intel® Core™ i7 Extreme Edition I7-5960X ($ MSRP at launch). Eight execution cores in one physical processor with Hyper Threading 16 Processing Threads. Architecture 22 nm technology 20 MB Intel® Smart Cache Intel® 64 architecture L1 Cache: 16KB data cache each core includes an Execution Trace Cache that stores up to 12K decoded micro-ops in the order of program execution L2 Cache Smart Cache dividing up 20MB between 8 cores. Clock Speed 3.0 Up to 3.5 Ghz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 64GB of addressable memory with DDR4 1333/1600/ channels. Max Memory Bandwidth ~68GB/s

Core i7 processor technologies: Intel® Turbo Boost technology –maximizes speed for demanding applications, dynamically accelerating performance to match your workload—more performance when you need it the most.² Intel® Smart Cache –provides a higher-performance, more efficient cache subsystem. Optimized for industry leading multi-threaded games. Intel® QuickPath Interconnect –designed for increased bandwidth and low latency. It can achieve data transfer speeds as high as 25.6 GB/sec with the Extreme Edition processor. Intel® HD Boost –significantly improves a broad range of multimedia and compute-intensive applications. The 128-bit SSE instructions are issued at a throughput rate of one per clock cycle, allowing a new level of processing efficiency with SSE4 optimized applications.

X99 Chipset Intel got out of the motherboard market, so you could the CPU in motherboard with the X99 chipset That the chipset designed to work with processor. Something like ASUS X99-Deluxe motherboard XE/ XE/ NewEgg: $384

4 th Intel® Core™ i7-4980HQ Processor Four execution cores in one physical processor with Hyper Threading –8 Processing Threads. –Architecture 22 nm technology –6 MB Intel® Smart Cache –Intel® 64 architecture –~$623 Clock Speed 2.8GHz Up to 4.0 Ghz with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology 32GB of addressable memory with DDR3L 1333/ channels Max Memory Bandwidth ~25.6GB/s

4 th Intel® Core™ i5 Processor  Two or Four execution cores in one physical processor.  Architecture 22 nm technology  3 to 6 MB Intel® Smart Level 3 Cache  Intel® 64 architecture  L1 Cache: 16KB data cache  each core includes an Execution Trace Cache that stores up to 12K decoded micro-ops in the order of program execution  L2 Cache 4X 256KB  Clock Speed 2.8 to 3.8 GHz  8 to 32GB of addressable memory with DDR3 1333/1600 Dual channel.  ~$200

Intel® Core™ i3 Processor  Two execution cores in one physical processor, 4 executions threads.  Architecture 22 nm technology  3 to 4MB Intel® Smart Cache  Intel® 64 architecture  17 to 55W  L1 Cache: 16KB data cache  each core includes an Execution Trace Cache that stores up to 12K decoded micro-ops in the order of program execution  L2 Cache 2X 256KB  Clock Speed 3.1to 3.8 GHz  8 to 32GB of addressable memory with DDR3 1333/1600 Dual channel. Priced between $100 to $150 (where the 2.1Ghz processor at 35W)

Generation Intel® Core™ vPro™ Processor Family Add on to the i7 and i5 processors. You can also help protect your organization’s sensitive data with optional Intel® Anti-Theft Technology (Intel® AT). Intel® Anti-Theft Technology (Intel® AT) for Laptop Security

Intel® Core™ M Processor Very little information avialable. There are also a number of i7/i5/i3 with the mobile as well. essors/core/next-generation-core- processors.html

Level 1 Execution Trace Cache In addition to the 8 KB data cache, the processors includes an Execution Trace Cache that stores up to 12 K decoded micro-ops in the order of program execution. This increases performance by removing the decoder from the main execution loop and makes more efficient usage of the cache storage space since instructions that are branched around are not stored. –As a result, a high volume of instructions are delivered to the processor's execution units and the overall time required to recover from erroneous branch predictions is decreased.

Intel® Atom™ Processor Built for simple affordable netbooks, nettops, and maybe phones –22x22mm form factor 60% smaller then notebook CPUs, 70% smaller then desktop processors. Video: Intel Next Generation Atom PlatformVideo: Intel Next Generation Atom Platform Z550

Intel® Atom™ Processor Intel® Enhanced Deeper Sleep (C4/C4E)‏ –Power savings Low TDP for reduced cooling requirements –Power-optimized front side bus for longer battery life without impacting performance Enhanced data prefetcher and enhanced register access manager –Anticipates data the processor is likely to need and stores the information within the processor's L2 cache, resulting in improved performance since the processor doesn't have to wait as long for data. Uses the intel 945GSE express chipset.

Intel® Atom™ Processor Z625 1 core, 1.9 Ghz –Hyper-Treading Technology –32-bit instruction set –45nm –512K Cache 533 Mhz FSB –2GB Memory. –2.2 Watts!!!! (yes 2.2 Watts) –I7-3970X EE edition uses 150 Watts

Asus Eee PC and Box PC (netbook) –9.5 hours* of battery life for all-day computing Box –Easy to mount on any LCD monitor* –Save up to 90% in energy consumption –7 seconds boot time** with Express Gate
