Objectives 1.Formulate the best way to get to vulnerables 2.Convince the EU institutions that fire safety is part of their responsibility and that EU action is needed 3.Formulate concrete proposals to reduce fire injuries and deaths
Actions & next steps OBJECTIVE 1 Receive confirmation from the statistics working group that the vulnerables are: –Children –Elderly –Ethnic minorities Create a “knowledge net”: Exchange of best practices on education, prevention, accessing vulnerables projects, etc –Through a special section on the EFA website
Actions & next steps OBJECTIVE 2 Link fire safety to other policies which are of EU competency: –Health policy –Anti-discrimination policy OBJECTIVE 3 Workshop members to discuss possibilities to develop concrete proposals based on information gathered
